Vasame, the flavor of Napoli

Imagine turning the nostalgia into a passion for ancient flavors, imagine bringing all year-round sunshine into our cold, foggy days and a whiff of sea air into those muggy days. Imagine creating a new memory as beautiful as your first kiss.

From all this VASAME was born…

“in my opinion, only those with passion and humility can change the rules,” says the face of Vasame Vincenzo Nese, an ambitious and proactive pizza maker. He knew from the beginning that pizza would be his path, so he abandoned his studies in dentistry and began to put his ideas, his plans, into practice, creating a dough that amazed everyone.

He created an Ape Car in which he baked pizzas, and he began to drive around the city with a flat cap on his head and flour in his hands.

Vasame was born as a project to diversify the corporate business of the Capri Group, a Group that in fashion retail has more than 200 stores in 6 countries, with more than 1,600 employees. After opening the first format in the heart of Viareggio, on Viale Regina Margherita, Vasame is about to open also in Sorrento, in the land of lemons.

The location is a breath of fresh air, you can smell in the scent of the sea and lightness, and carefree summer, and like all Costa Group venues, it entertains, it is a venue “that smiles.”

Bamboos, umbrellas, mirrors, lemons, and polka dots, it is a riot of color and cheerfulness, the yellow and blue seats recall the colors of the sea and the sun, and you cannot miss the appreciate themajolica tiles.

The idea came from a sketch made by Franco Costa, and a lot of research; once all the elements were found, the space and all the graphics were developed. The decorative elements, in line with the previous Vasame in Viareggio, are those of the   working-class Napoli.
